Courage
...L. Frank Baum once said "There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The true courage is in facing danger when you are afraid." I believe that L. Baum is trying to say that we may be different but we all have things that terrify us, in that way we are similar. Although what sets us a part from one another is having the strength to look beyond our fears even when we are scared to. This quote relates to the other side of my theme, courage. Courage can only be defined by two things, the things we do and who we are. L.Frank Baum was a play writer and wrote many children's books along with his very famous "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." He stirred away from the grim fair tales but was always infatuated with scary mystical creatures.
